Four Items That Will Keep You Safe On Your Next Trip To The Beach

If you are planning on taking a beach vacation, you're probably thinking about all the fun in the sun you're going to have. Even though you're looking forward the warm weather, soft sand, and sparkling water, you're going to want to think about safety as well.
Here are four items that will keep you safe on your next trip to the beach.
1. Sunscreen
You absolutely don't want to be at the beach without sunscreen. However, not just any sunscreen will do. If you want to adequately protect your skin from both UVB and UVA rays, the sun protection factor (SPF) of your sunscreen should not be any lower than 30. Sunscreen with an SPF of 30 will block blocks nearly 97 percent of UVB radiation.
Besides the appropriate SPF, you should also look for sunscreen that contains other ingredients that help to protect the skin, including zinc oxide and oxybenzone.
2. Sunglasses
Besides protecting your skin, you will also want to protect your eyes from the damaging rays of the sun. In order to do this, you should invest in a good pair of sunglasses. Unfortunately the cheap ones you buy at the convenient store don't quite cut it for adequate protection. When choosing the best sunglasses, you should make sure they will block out 100% of UV rays.
If you want added protection, you can opt for wraparound sunglasses and ones that are oversized. You should also keep in mind that while polarized lenses won't block out UV rays, they will protect your eyes from the sun's reflective glare.
3. Solar Bluetooth Speakers
It's understandable that solar Bluetooth speakers will be able to provide a way to listen to music, but what does this item have to do with safety? If you are going to a remote area and run out of battery power on your cellphone, most solar Bluetooth speakers contain a USB smartphone charger, so that you'll be able to make a phone call in case an emergency arises. A waterproof Bluetooth Speaker with USB is also a great option for the beach.
4. Plenty of Water
When you're outside in the sun for long periods of time, you're going to want to stay hydrated. For this reason, it's important to have plenty of purified drinking water along on your trip to the beach. If you experience any signs of dehydration, such as dizziness, headaches, and feeling nauseous, you should seek shade right away and drink some water.
